Not playing by the new erratum is exactly the same as not following an official ruling.YGOPro The Dawn of a New Era 5 (TDOANE 5) has been released. The Dawn of a New Era A Paradigm Shift Accelerated by the Coronavirus Even before the arrival of COVID-19, humanity found itself stuck in several crises at once. Just a note, the errata is the same as rulings. My friend argues that it just needs to be destroyed but if this errata stuff is true then when I use lightning vortex he can't special summon another one right? 137.104.83.222 19:03, 25 March 2009 (UTC) The Troop Dragon from LOD says it just needed to be destroyed in order for it's effect to activate but the reprint from DB2 says it has to be by battle. You must apply the effect with its new errata.Because there isn't any sense of keeping the old rulings if it is like that.

I'm just wondering if we really need to the apply the new ones. I have some questions regarding this kind of topic.ĭo you really need to apply the new errata even though you have the old errata? Because the old errata doesn't have anything against normal/set summonings while the new errata has those rulings. If the errata seems to have changed the effect, it usually means the old card had its effect misprinted. You use the effect printed on the new version. So what happens when I want to play such a card and it has the old Errata? Does it happen what is written on the card I own/play, or do I have to keep myself updated about every single card I have, whether the Errata changed and it has the new effect, even though something totally different is written on it? There are some cards where the Errata changed drastically, like "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo Daedalus", "Troop Dragon", or "Morphing Jar #2" for example.
